Job Summary: : As a Collections Representative in the revenue-based finance industry, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the collection process for our client accounts. You will be responsible for contacting clients, facilitating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely and accurate collections. Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of maintaining a high level of professionalism while maximizing collection outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate contact with clients to collect outstanding payments and resolve any payment-related issues.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach while communicating with clients, understanding their financial situations, and providing guidance on payment options.
- Negotiate and implement payment arrangements and settlement terms that align with clients' revenue streams and financial capabilities.
- Conduct thorough account analysis to identify potential issues, discrepancies, or trends that may impact collections, and develop strategies to address them effectively.
- Update and maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities, conversations, and payment agreements in our database.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Account Managers and Underwriters, to gather necessary information, resolve client concerns, and escalate complex cases when required.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in revenue-based finance and collections to ensure compliance and optimize collection strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving disputes, and building positive long-term relationships.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements, suggesting ideas to enhance collection efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable management, ideally within the revenue-based finance industry.
- Strong knowledge of revenue-based financing principles and familiarity with unique aspects of revenue-based collections preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively and influence positive outcomes.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities to assess client accounts, identify trends, and develop appropriate collection strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in using collections software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle challenging client interactions with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential client information.
